Case Study – International City

International City is an extensive development spread across 800 hectares, and is inspired by countries around the world. The entire project is laid out like traditional carpets. Within International City are buildings inspired by the Emirates, Morocco, France, England, Italy, and China – each follows a distinctive national theme. Asian Paints Berger was entrusted with the exterior and interior painting responsibilities of the project.

Berger PVA Primer, Berger Stucco, Berger Super Flat Emulsion were the products used. They were chosen for high performance features, durability, and good looks.

Weathercoat Primer, Berger External Filler, Weathercoat Flex Tex Fine, and Tex Medium were chosen from our exterior products collection. These were selected for their 10-year performance, anti-carbonation properties and exceptional crack bridging capabilities. Flex Tex is a textured coating with excellent elastomeric properties. 

International City is a massive project that was built and delivered on a strict timeline. The sheer scale of the task posed a significant challenge. It called for exceptional time and project management skills the from the Asian Paints Berger team. The team co-ordinated with multiple contractors and a large workforce to ensure that work was carried out as per schedule.

From an aesthetic perspective, the project had a unique theme as it was divided into different country-inspired sections. The colours, look, and requirements for each country theme were different, and Asian Paints Berger was privileged to collaborate with the client and create an impressive look for this distinctive project.
