System Description:

Luxaprime 1500 is a two‑component polyvinyl butyral (PVB) etch/wash primer containing phosphoric acid and corrosion‑inhibitive pigments. It is intended to promote adhesion and corrosion resistance as a preparatory primer layer in suitable coating systems.

Key Features

  • Can be over coated with single pack and two pack products.
  • Contains phosphoric acid to etch the surface.
  • BS 5493 reference. Meets performance of AP2A.
  • Acidic pretreatment for non ferrous metals to ensure good adhesion of subsequent coatings e.g. aluminium cladding.
  • Suitable for use on new and aged clean galvanized steel.
  • Suitable as an Etch Primer for up to C4 Environment as per ISO12944 Part 2 along with suitable intermediates and topcoats.
