System Description:

Epilux 8 is a two‑component high‑build epoxy polyamine containing epoxy pitch, capable of high film build up to 400 microns in a single coat. It offers compatibility with cathodic protection, good abrasion resistance, and resistance to severe atmospheric exposure.

Key Features

  • Compatible with cathodic protection systems, suitable for immersed service conditions.
  • Can be applied directly on blast‑cleaned steel or over a suitable epoxy primer.
  • Provides good abrasion resistance for demanding service environments.
  • Highly resistant to severe atmospheric conditions.
  • Excellent performance in continuous and intermittent immersion in fresh and salt water Suitable for protection of ballast water tanks.
  • Designed for use as a topcoat in coating systems up to C5 corrosivity category as per ISO 12944‑2.
